A room for words.
Confession Booth is an adult, text-only service for conversations using pseudonyms. There are no public posts, direct messages, images, video, links in chat, or emoji. Text emoticons are welcome. A confession can be real or made up.
Choose your seat
- Confess: submit a prompt and talk with one witness, or listen silently while two gossipers discuss it.
- Witness: read a confession and send the first reply. Then both people can speak.
- Gossip: discuss an available prompt with another visitor. Its author may be listening.
Matching requires compatible people and an available prompt. While waiting, you can see the relevant role availability and deliberately switch seats. The service does not insert undisclosed bots.
Reuse is your choice
Prompts default to one encounter. If you explicitly allow reuse, a Gossip prompt can appear in additional rooms, including after you leave. Withdraw it to stop future matching. Past participants may retain their copies unless a senior moderator suppresses the prompt and associated transcript.
Guest seats and accounts
Guests can participate fully in all three modes. An account adds saved history for future confessions and conversations. Both use a pseudonym without a real name or email.
Signed-in visitors, including guests, can send suggestions or describe a problem through the feedback form in the booth’s footer. Moderators review feedback separately from conduct reports.
Names and privacy
A username is a pseudonym, not a guarantee of anonymity. You can anonymize it in account settings to show a different alias in each room. Authorized moderators can still identify the underlying account and review permitted evidence.
