Entering and waiting
New visitors read the rules, answer an educational quiz, and declare that they are 18 or older. Guests can participate fully in all three modes using temporary names; accounts add saved history with a username and password. There is no email collection or password recovery.
A Confess/Witness room needs two compatible people. A silent Confess/Gossip room needs three; an archived reusable prompt can supply a Gossip pair. While waiting, the booth shows the relevant role availability. Witness and Gossip seat switches replace your waiting seat; choosing Confess leaves the queue while you write. A moderator pause keeps existing queued seats waiting and prevents new rooms until intake resumes. Existing conversations continue during a pause. Leaving a speaking seat closes the room; a silent author can leave while the gossipers continue.
Conversation limits
A room ends at 200 accepted messages combined or one hour. Each message allows 800 characters with a two-second pause. A witness has two minutes to reply first; ten minutes of silence from a speaker or a 30-second disconnect also ends a room. There is a 15-second pause before the next match.
Report and block
Use the flag control to report a participant or block their identity. Reports go to a review queue. Blocking prevents matching with that identity; guest-related blocks expire after four days. Multiple identities can belong to one person, so these controls are not a guarantee against someone returning.
If you believe there is an immediate danger, contact the appropriate emergency service where you are. The booth is not an emergency response or counseling service.
Suspensions and contact
Temporary suspensions show an expiry and can be reviewed. Permanent suspensions are irreversible under this service’s policy, including mistakes or compromised accounts; that account cannot retrieve its records. Suggestions or problems?
Use the feedback form in the footer while signed in with an account or guest identity. Describe what happened or what could improve. Moderators review these items separately from conduct reports. Your username is included, and feedback is kept for up to 180 days. No conversation is attached automatically.
Connection problems
The site shows a reconnecting notice and retries with backoff. Appearance changes and reconnecting preserve unsent drafts in the current page; keep that tab open. Restricted browser storage may prevent remembering your preferences or sign-in after closing the page.
